Netnerd.com 2026 Price Increases
We’re going to be increasing our pricing at the end of November 2026.
We try and keep price increases to a minimum, and we haven’t changed our pricing for 9 years now, but we’re now having to do so.
The main reasons for this are the huge, well publicised increases in server hardware due to AI demand, large annual increases in cPanel licences and generally high UK energy costs, especially at the industrial level, which are now among the highest in the world.
Our shared hosting packages are going to increase as follows (all quoted prices exclude VAT):
Package Name | Pre-increase monthly cost | Pre-increase annual cost | Post-increase monthly cost | Post-increase Annual cost |
Starter Hosting | N/A | £10.00 | N/A | £12.00 |
Essentials Hosting | N/A | £29.99 | N/A | £35.99 |
Unlimited / WordPress Hosting | £4.99 | £49.99 | £5.99 | £59.99 |
Multisite / WordPress Multisite Hosting | £8.99 | £89.99 | £10.99 | £109.99 |
Business Hosting | £13.99 | £139.99 | £14.99 | £149.99 |
Pro Hosting | £29.99 | £299.99 | £32.99 | £329.99 |
What we’re definitely not going to do:
- Annual/year on year price increases.
- More frequent price increases of this nature.
- Start charging for add-ons such as SSL certificates, old PHP versions, backups, object caching, or opcache.
- Turn into some kind of capitalist money extraction mechanism.
We don’t really like doing these price hikes, we know it’s not something you’re going to like that much either, but we do like working here, and we do like hosting you. Honest!
What we really want to do:
- Cover our costs and continue operating as a business.
- Provide you with consistent pricing to allow you to manage your budget without yearly nasty surprises.
- Provide you with hosting that has everything you need built in by default to allow you to manage your website and email services.
