We offer a variety of cheap web hosting packages, each of which have a different price and come with different set of resources. How do you know which is best for you and your website? This guide aims to provide some information about our low cost web hosting package and the use cases that they’re aimed at.

All of our shared hosting packages have a set of features that are built in by default. We do this so that there aren’t any hidden costs that you’d need to pay to gain a feature that it’s sensible to have, or that’s needed to run your website.

A good example of this is SSL certificates, which are needed to use HTTPS and have the padlock in your browser’s address bar. In this day and age, every website should have a certificate and run over HTTPS. Some web hosting providers charge for certificates in addition to the cost of web hosting, which seems crazy considering every website owner wants a certificate.

We provide Free SSL certificates so that HTTPS can be used, and the padlock in the browser displayed. This being present means that information sent between the browser and web server is encrypted, which prevents hackers from intercepting and using your data.

Backups are included for free with all our shared hosting packages. Backups are taken nightly and we retain 14 day’s worth of backups. This takes place automatically, you don’t need to do anything for backups to be taken. The Jetbackup facility in the cPanel hosting accounts we provide can be used to download or restore any site file, folder, database, or mailbox from any time within the last two weeks.

All our shared hosting packages include the ability to use mailboxes. These aren’t charged for separately, or sold as a separate service.

We provide the weebly website builder for free if you’re looking for an easy way to manage your website. We also include the Softaculous Apps Installer in all our shared hosting packages which can be used to install a variety of scripts (WordPress, Drupal, Joomla, Prestashop, Opencart and so on). Softaculous also includes staging, cloning and push to live functionality, so you can test your changes before making them live on your website.

All our shared hosting packages come with unlimited bandwidth. Bandwidth can be a bit tricky to understand, if you’re new to web hosting and websites. Bandwidth also gets consumed by robots, and non-human traffic. We don’t limit bandwidth simply because it’s both fairer and easier.

Our Cheapest web hosting packages are the Starter Hosting package and the Essentials hosting package.

Starter Hosting Provides:

Starter hosting is low cost due to the small amount of disk space it provides. We created this package so that people that only needed a small amount of space didn’t have to pay for something they weren’t using. Due to the small amount of disk space, if you use this package you either need to host a small website, or to be happy to managed your disk space.

Although it is possible, it’s not very advisable to use the Starter Hosting package for databased backed content management systems such as WordPress, Joomla, or Opencart. We usually recommend either publishing a flat HMTL site, or using the weebly web site builder with the starter hosting package.

he essentials hosting package is great for smaller CMS based websites with mostly static content, or small to medium sized blogs. An element of disk space management is still required if you decide to use IMAP emails due to the 1GB disk space limit, as well as running a larger website.

If you’re not keen on managing disk space, or aren’t really sure what type of hosting package you need, Unlimited hosting is a great choice as it covers most scenarios.

Pro hosting is a really good solution for hosting multiple websites that are either very busy, have big databases, or that receive very high volumes of visitors.

Pro hosting is a step on the way to running your own server, with a lot of similar benefits (such as high resource availability) but with a lower price. It’s a low cost web hosting solution for the more resource intensive websites. Pro hosting is also a great offering for small to medium sized businesses.

With the exception of moving to pro hosting, all the packages we offer provide in place upgrades. If cost is a concern to you, it’s entirely possible to start off on a cheaper package, then upgrade as and when you need to.

As there’s usually no migration involved, the upgrade is very unintrusive. If you decide to upgrade to pro hosting, we’ll manage the migration for you and proxy traffic from the old to the new server to cover DNS propagation.
